AppleScript è in grado di recuperare l'URL della scheda corrente di un browser.

Per restituire l'URL della scheda corrente in Safari, utilizzare l' URL of current tab :

tell application "Safari"
    return URL of current tab of window 1
end tell

Per restituire l'URL della scheda corrente in Google Chrome, utilizza l' URL of active tab :

tell application "Google Chrome"
    return URL of active tab of window 1
end tell
