JIT-compilatie, of just-in-time compilatie, is een alternatieve benadering voor de interpretatie van code of voortijdige compilatie. JIT-compilatie wordt gebruikt in het .NET-framework. De CLR-code (C #, F #, Visual Basic, enz.) Wordt eerst gecompileerd in iets dat Interpreted Language of IL wordt genoemd. Dit is een code op een lager niveau die dichter bij de machinecode ligt, maar niet platformspecifiek is. In plaats daarvan wordt deze code tijdens runtime gecompileerd in machinecode voor het relevante systeem.
Opmerkingen
Waarom JIT-compilatie gebruiken?
- Betere compatibiliteit: elke CLR-taal heeft slechts één compiler voor IL nodig, en deze IL kan op elk platform worden uitgevoerd waarop het kan worden omgezet in machinecode.
- Snelheid: JIT-compilatie probeert de snelheid te combineren van het vooraf uitvoeren van gecompileerde code en de flexibiliteit van interpretatie (kan code analyseren die zal worden uitgevoerd voor mogelijke optimalisaties voordat deze wordt gecompileerd)
